POLE | DANCE | EMBODIMENT
know before you go
BASED IN NAPLES FLORIDA
choose the Collective. not the squad.
A bespoke approach to dance and embodiment
Intro classes are required for apparatus-based offerings. Intro to Pole is required before joining Pole classes, and similar intro classes are required for silks, Lyra, and other aerial disciplines. These classes are gentle, welcoming, and focused on familiarization and safety.
Open-level classes are truly open. Instructors offer variations and progressions throughout class, supporting beginners and advanced students at the same time. Advancement is encouraged when safety benchmarks are met.
A GLIMPSE INTO
the process
All classes are booked through Groovio, our scheduling and booking platform. Create an account to book and manage classes. Classes may be booked until full. Waitlists operate on a first-come basis
Workshops are specialty offerings and priced separately.
Flō operates within a shared, multi-use dance facility, and timing matters.
Class start time is not arrival time.
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before class begins to check in and settle.
We recognize the realities of Naples life, including seasonal traffic, accidents, and infrastructure strain due to population growth. Because of this, we strongly encourage planning extra commute time when attending class.
Attendance, late arrivals, and cancellations are automated through Groovio and tied to the system’s digital timestamp.
Arrivals up to 10 minutes late incur a $1 per minute fee
At 11 minutes after class start, the doors will be locked, and the class is considered a late cancel or no-show and the fee is dependent on the class value of the membership or class package ($13-$40).
Cancellations without penalty must be made at least 12 hours in advance
Warm-ups are essential for safety, particularly in aerial and pole classes.
Flō Collective is located inside Gulf Coast Dance Institute. Please enter through the main front entrance and walk through the ballroom to reach our lounge and studio space.
Because this is a shared facility:
Multiple classes may be happening simultaneously
Quiet transitions are appreciated
Restroom access is always allowed and should be used discreetly
Ample parking is available.
Most apparatus-based classes involve sharing equipment unless otherwise noted. Sharing supports safety, rest cycles, and sustainable training.
Instructors may guide pairings intentionally or allow them to form organically. While sharing may feel unfamiliar at first, it often becomes part of the connection and community that make Flō unique.
We offer:
Month-to-month memberships
Discounted long-term memberships with additional perks
Extended-expiration class packs for seasonal and out-of-town members
Memberships directly support our instructors, who earn commission through longer-term commitments. Taking care of our instructors is part of taking care of our community.
College student and public service discounts are available when applicable. Flō is an 18+ studio.

No experience is required.
We offer intro and open-level classes designed for beginners, as well as progressive classes for those who want to build skills over time. If a class has prerequisites, they’ll be clearly listed in the class description.

an Intro class
or a private lesson if you want one-on-one guidance.
Comfortable movement clothing
An open mind
The studio provides mats and equipment for warm-ups and conditioning.
For pole classes, your skin must be free of lotions, oils, or residue before class. This is for your safety and for the safety of others using the equipment.

Most students start barefoot or in socks. As you progress in dance-based pole classes, some movements may feel different or clearer in heels.
If and when you choose to try heels:
Use pole-safe heels only
Ankle straps or closed-toe boots are recommended
Brands like Pleasers are common
No street shoes or stilettos
Take your time. Heels are a tool, not a requirement.

Skin contact is required for grip. Wear what makes you comfortable, and feel free to layer up.
Bikinis are permitted.
No nudity is allowed. Thongs, g-strings, or similar garments are not permitted.
For Aerial Classes (Silks, Lyra, Hammock):
Fitted leggings
Tops that cover the underarms
This protects your skin and supports safe movement.

Absolutely no jewelry, zippers, or sharp accessories
This includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, watches, piercings, or any item that could damage equipment or cause injury.
No outside shoes are permitted in pole or aerial spaces.
Yes, grip aids are optional.
Popular brands include:
Dry Hands
Dew Point
Monkey Grip
Grip aids must:
Be applied to skin only
Never be applied directly to poles or equipment
Grip products that damage equipment, leave residue, or are difficult to remove may result in a maintenance or damage fee.
Specialty grip products may require approval and must be fully removable and cleanable.
Sharing apparatus is standard practice in pole and aerial studios.
It allows for:
Rest between attempts (which improves safety)
Sustainable training
Thoughtful pacing during class
Instructors guide sharing intentionally so everyone gets quality time and adequate rest.

Studio Reposts
Flō Collective may repost publicly tagged content to celebrate community.
Reposting is governed by our media waiver, which students may opt into or out of at any time.
Reposts do not imply ownership of student content.
Flō values creative integrity and shared lineage.
If you perform, teach, or share choreography or movement that is not your own:
- You credit your sources. Always.
- If you don’t remember exactly where a movement came from, say so honestly.
- Credit can take many forms:
- A verbal acknowledgment in class
- A tag or caption on social media
- A mention during a showcase or performance
Claiming choreography or movement as original when it is not may be addressed by the studio.
Protecting Your Own Work
We encourage students and instructors to protect their original choreography by:
- Documenting your work
- Using copyright or trademark tools where appropriate
- Keeping dated records of original material
If you’re serious about protecting your work, we recommend consulting an intellectual property professional or researching formal copyright and trademark procedures.
